Nate Silver’s estimate of the likelihood of the presidential outcome as of Sunday night, 10/18/12 at 11:00 pm. He’s a NYT blogger and statistician who is highly respected, if not the most respected statistical analyst.

Obama: 74.6%

Romney 25.4%

Predicted Electoral College counts (270 needed to win)

Obama:            296.6

Romney            2241.4
